Arvidsjaur municipality

Arvidsjaur is located in the centre of Swedish Lapland, about 900 km north of Stockholm and 100 km south of the arctic circle. There are about 6 800 inhabitants in the municipality 4 700 of them reside in Arvidsjaur town. By the town is the lake originally named Arvidsjaur, a Sami word that means "the generous lake".

Communications from Arvidsjaur are good, there is an airport with ICAP-status. From there there are daily flights to Stockholm.
